2.  Knit stripes until the work measures 35-37-39 cm.

3. Increase 1 st on each side for the sleeves.

4. When the work measures 57-60-63 cm cast off the middle 30-32-32 st for the neck, and finish each shoulder separately.

5. On the next row cast off 1 st towards the neck. Cast off all st when the work measures 60-63-66 cm.

2. Cast off towards the neck a further 1 st 5 times.

3. When the work measures the same as the back, cast off all st.

4. Repeat point 3 for the other shoulder.

Joining the work #1

Before you pick up st for the sleeves, sew together the shoulder seams.

1. With white, pick up 42-45-48 st starting from where the arm hole begins and ending at the shoulder seam. Then pick up further 42 st from the shoulder seam to where the arm hole ends.

2. Knit 6 rows white and then continue in stripes. End with 4 rows white and then cast off all st. Be careful not to tighten the casting off too much.

Joining the work #2

Sew the side seams and sleeves. Crochet a round of crab stitch around the neck.
