Cable sweater – knitting pattern

Cable sweater – knitting pattern

 4

This is the ultimate winter sweater! We’ve knitted it in a gorgeous alpaca yarn that makes it chunky, cuddly, warm and just basically all around awesome! It fits right into fashion right now, dictating a shorter, chunkier knit that’s tighter on the hips.

We’re wearing the sweater with normal-waisted jeans or leather pants – all day, everyday 🙂

The knitting pattern is for a knitter with intermediate experience, since you’ll have to know how to knit cable. Although, if this is your first time trying out cables, then this sweater is a perfect starter sweater!

The sweater is knit on needles size 7mm (US10.5), and the knitting pattern covers S, M and L.

Material you need to knit the sweater:
– 7mm (US10.5) knitting needles (or the sizes you need to get the below gauge)
– 550-700-800 g yarn that’s app. 60 meters/50g
– cable needle
– scissors
– knitter’s sewing needle

Gauge:
10 cm = 18 rows
10 cm = 12 stitches

Finished measurement (chest):
App. 100-110-120 cm (39-43-47 inches)
(note that the cable pulls the front piece together, so it’s more narrow – the above measurements take that into account and therefore do not match the below gauge).

The knitting pattern is for immediate download – after succesful purchase, you’ll have access to the download area and the link to the download will also be sent directly to your email inbox in the order confirmation email.
